We established the Consumer Education Council as non-profit so that we did not have to deal with advertisers who might not like some of the content we publish. Also, we wanted a structure that would prevent future sales or takeovers of the business.
The site is run mostly by volunteers and professionals who normally charge a lot more for their work and all of our news and information is provided completely free of charge. No paywalls. Online training is provided at cost to individuals and non-profits.
Our goal is to provide helpful consumer news (like that found on our site) and to produce online learning for businesses, non-profits and government agencies. Maybe we can produce training for you? Give us a ping and let's talk about it.
Meanwhile, maybe you could spare $12 (or more) to help us keep the gerbils fed? Or use the Subscribe button to go all the way and become a CECNA member.
